We love it when we see companies acting transparently and honestly showing how they are impacting the world we share and so we want to ensure that the members of our community here can trust our content, enjoy using our site and feel safe interacting with our community.
To ensure we can keep producing the top quality content that you have enjoyed on sustainability we have had to monetise some of our content either through affiliate programs or advertising. Affiliate marketing basically means we take a small commission if you click a link to a product and purchase something from that store. This does not increase any prices for you but means we can keep producing content that we are passionate about. We never link to products that we do not believe in or have not personally used and our reviews are not written to encourage you to go out buy more products no matter how sustainable they are, we believe in reducing consumption first and only then buying sustainable products.
We want to ensure that our readers feel as safe as possible and the information below is full disclosure on what happens on sustainableshoppers.co.uk.

8 Affiliate Disclosure
“sustainableshoppers.co.uk is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to amazon.com, amazonsupply.com, or myhabit.com.”
Currently I’m an affiliate with Amazon and a publisher in the Google Adsense program so you may see some of the advertisements on the site and some of the links in our articles or on the blog page are affiliate links which means that I’ll collect a small percentage of the sale as commission.
The reason that these are in place is because the small commissions add up and help support the costs to run the site and helps support our community without being overly intrusive to my audience’s experience and learning on the site.
These commissions will never come at a cost to yourself and I vow that whether a particular product offers a commission or not, it will never influence my recommendations or teaching material. I know that trust takes a lifetime to build but only seconds to lose, so you can rest assured that I only link to products which I have used personally and would recommend.
With that said, I’d like to sincerely thank you and my readers.
